I just got a message from my company's front desk lady that someone called and asked for me and left a number for me to return the call. I've had a feeling about it and as it turns out, yes, it really was a recruiter who had the confidence* to call my company to sell me another job.

Had this happen twice to me, too. They had the audacity to call our support to ask for me directly. Good thing the calls weren't redirected to me.:D

@heyheni I'm don't really want anything new right now, nor do I appreciate this way of contacting. But I do want to have a talk with manager about compensation soon, so I suppose it's helpful to know my market worth.

3x my current salary and I might even get interested to hear about whatever crap they're doing. And if it's more interesting crap than what my current job offers, why not. I guess I should prepare some questions (about the job/company) for tomorrow.

@nitwhiz Good thing we have a policy that no external steakholder is supposed to have the dial through number (or email address) of a developer.

Wait until you have a recruiter call to try to sell you out to a different team in your same company...!

@AlmondSauce In my company that would mean leaving dev. Pass.

    (but damn, that really happened?)
