3 BSOD in a hour at a customer site ... Linux will be installed tomorrow

    To be honest, I think it's partially because of the user themself. Not to say you're the cause of the BSODs, but a lot of people, including me, have never had a BSOD before.

    So do you mind me asking what thing you were doing that could cause a BSOD? Were you working with partitions or something else that could cause Windows to screw up?

    If it is really 3 in an hour, you might want to look into updating/reinstalling drivers, or a clean install of Windows.

    It's a laptop that gets used like 30 minutes a week, at the time of the BSOD's the only thing that was running was a putty session connecting to a server via a USB -> serial.

    The driver is the same as my other laptop that is almost identical (4GB less ram and is never connected to the internet) and this has never crashed.
