Repsonse. "it's 3 minutes to add the actual fields to the form, it's 47 hrs 57 min to grab the user input, validate the input to protect you from someone using that input to crash your entire server and wipe your database, save the data in the database, and allow you to see that data on your reports. Since you only asked for the field to be on the form here's your fields on that form with absolutely 0 functionality. When your willing to agree to the 48hrs I've priced, you can have those fields actually do something. (And not bring down your entire site in the process)

If there are proper unit/integration tests, I don't see the problem. We as devs should work on the base assumption that clients are dumb and can come up with random requirements like these.

lubwn8598yReminds me a year or two ago my client came to me and still could not accept why all the forms on web takes so long to program. He said that he thought it is "already in windows" and "we should have just took it and use it". He then accepted the fact that it is not already done in windows and we just need to program it.

Make sure you remind your client that it's 48 hrs in 2 days but 16 hrs in 2 working days...

Yes. Just tell him/her,do it yourself if its easy. Sometimes i feel all developers needs a gun for shooting that god damn clients
Stupid annoying client want me to add 2 new fields on a form. Ok I said, my estimation is that I need 2 days to make the changes on form, database and all the scripts that posting and getting data, plus testing. His reply was, come one do you really want 48 hours to just add 2 fields, its sooo easy!!!! WTF dude... if it is sooo easy why are you fucking bother me??? Do it your self!!!!
