Doing the deployment to production, and towards the end one of the support guys looks over at me;

"So, the website in prod is throwing some errors"

Followed by another guy:

"Yeah I'm getting the same, SQL exceptions on the page"

I stare at them panicked for a moment, when one of them goes "just kidding!". Like dude, my heart just skipped several beats!

Any one here ever had something cruel happen to them during a deployment?

    When your Prod site actually returns SQL exceptions and your sponsors don't know why that's a problem 🙄

    There once was a time when the site did use to throw SQL exceptions, and leave them in plain sight for clients and end users to see. CTO never thought this was a problem; fortunately we've since fixed all that sneakily.
