idk how people have time/passion to work on side-projects after work.

or is it just me, who always wants to build something, but ultimately feels stuck, tired and hopeless.

how do I get back to that state when developing stuff was fun?

I certainly don't have any passion and haven't worked on anything personal for many years (aside from some dips into Tabletop Simulator scripting occasionally)

For fun things, I usually go for no framework and the simplest aproach, and build incrementaly from there. You learn a ton, you don't hit stupid opinionated things of frameworks and it is minimal aka easy to understand.

What i usually do, is having different, unrelated things to do. So if i'm stuck in coding i go make music. When i'm stuck there i go make 3D stuff, and if i don't feel artistic that day i go back to coding.

That way i get always stuff done.

When your hobby becomes your job, chances are you lost a hobby.

@GXGOW sadly this is true in most cases. Observed that a lot with friends of mine.
