I must please go update logstash on this server. Okay, so I literally just need to ssh in and run "yum update logstash"

No, I need to apply for temp root access and depending who picks up that ticket, I may have to log a change request

    You forgot the 2 meetings where you explain to marketing how updating logstash will make you more competitive and modern

    I feel you very bad... got 3 features stuck waiting for approval and 1 freaking file which needs a typo fix (and which can only be updated by hr) stuck in there for 3 days now.

    Not that Linux has all the tools to automate and audit this (maybe except the changeset).

    @puradawid I understand that we can't have people just having unfettered root access all the time but yea, this process feels a little much for a one-liner
