Root826023y.NET?
If you’re more serious about being a dev than a Microsoft fanboy, pick C++.
If you have something in mind already that uses C#, pick C#.
If you’re like me and just want to learn, pick both. -
@petergriffin Um I haven't heard about assembly being used in competitive programming. Also it will take really long to get something while your c and c++ peers wrote the code and the compiler probably produced comparable or better results

"competetitive programming"?!
Like in CTF pownage competitions?
Or is it about code golfing or underhanded contests?
Well, C or C++ are what is spoken there. They are perfect for code golfing, almost every RCE-vulnerable software is written in one of the two languages (so can't get around them in CTF), and they both are perfect for hiding malicious code in plain sight (so they are what is used in underhanded contests too).
Being a microsoft dev..which language is good for competitive programming.. c++ or c#?..
