Indian developers in the US are far better than the ones in India.

    Because no country hires mediocre devs from other countries.

    @Cyanide you might be surprised.

    Every Indian developer I have worked with in this country has no interest in the subject matter. It's just about getting an adequate pay check.

    Just that I have met.

    @craig939393 It’s really hard to find company and the project to have passion for. I think 80% of devs work only for the pay check.

    Scientists on ISS are smarter than ones on earth, Scientists in Antarctica are better than other continents.

    Point being, if it's harder to get there, it automatically filters bad ones.

    Everyone is best in its own place

    This generalization lacks context. Well, in their homeland Indians don't get much of a choice.
    Let J. Fluke reveal those dirty CEOs.

    What @theabbie said. Mostly the creme layer with enough education, training, money, scholarships, skills, dedication, scholarships etc migrates from the third world countries to the first world countries.

    This is true other STEM areas as well. Average quality of Indian physicists in Europe is better than the same average in India. Lots of socio-economic factors are involved.

    @-red and it is hard to have lots of money, if rich parents, it's their hard work.

    @-red If someone already has lots of money, they can live a happy life here too, I don't think rich people become software developers, just a guess.
