The most unproductive meeting was definitely a day long meeting about “inclusiveness” with an emphasis on toxic masculinity. It was all the dev teams for a whole day which was ballpark 40-60 devs total. Most of us were like, “We have never even had a woman on our teams to alienate.” Eventually a dev hiring manager allowed the three female devs to leave half way through because they were being repeatedly singled out by the HR lady running the meeting.

The rest of us sat through another half day of the HR lady telling us on how bad we are because we are men.

Sounds like a meeting caused by toxic femininity

    Excuse me, what the fuck?

Some points of view exist only to create division and disunity in the name of inclusiveness and unity. Does not take responsibility and blames other classification groups. It is used to subvert nations and organizations. A war on a society is often done through language. Like demonizing certain words out of context. If you don't see what is going on at this point you really should wake up.

I would definitely find ways to skip such Meetings

It is not enough we have been seeing such disclaimers in the Job Postings that we now need to attend meetings, too?

identity politics in effect. I would fire that person if I could.

Pretty funny. "We're gonna teach inclusiveness by singling out and alienating a specific group so much they are uncomfortable and want to leave. Inclusivity is achieved once everyone is equally trying to run and hide!"

For real... that's ground for crashing some prod env on purpose just to skip it.

@asgs It was mandatory. Your name went on an attendance list.

    Not able walk out.

@shoogknight I wouldn’t say toxic femininity. Just plain old prejudice.

@irene If it wasn't on an attendance list then it would be on another list.

When attending such meetings, always try to get some hours of Jordan Peterson on Youtube first so you are able to actually participate in the discussions.

@Oktokolo It isn’t the hill I plan on dying on. I let the crazies be crazy.

I prefer to quietly build dissent using information that can lead to an eventual coup.

    @irene doesn't matter

@irene I was making a dumb joke. Just weird to me it's ok to equate masculine traits with toxicity. In reality there's just asshole people and non asshole people.

@shoogknight yeah I got that. I feel like asshole is too generic. It is like saying there are good and bad people.

“Prejudice” helps to identify a specific behaviour. Then when someone identify a group of people broadly and says they are a particular way we point out prejudice.
