I don't know how to deal with this, it's always complicated.

-customer sees some output from their computer they don't understand-

-customer comes up with a theory on why and some complicated logic to solve it and sends that as a request-

-i'm too stupid to realize it and follow their logic and hurt my brain until I realize it... no that's dumb...-

Result: time wasted

    First rule of users:

    What they want/ask for is not what they need.

    They are usually close-minded, rely on hodge-podging things they’ve already seen and are limited in imagination with technology.

    Example:
    Customer: I want a car with square wheels, that is exactly what I want.
    Lazy BA: ok, what color?
    Good BA: what do you want to do with said car?
    Customer: I want to drive it really fast
    Good BA: let’s talk about why square wheels will ruin the outcome for you. Let me talk to you about round wheels and speed.
