ML Translations that use near real time cultural sensitivity models. Sure google translate works, but not taking into account that all things don’t translate to the same meaning or intent, especially slang. Automating subtitles would be way easier and globalization for apps.

Root825993y• Automated vertical farms
• Automated individual public transit that wasn’t disgusting and slow and awful
• Parks and water features
• Spacecraft
• Forests
• Gardens
• Desalination plants
• Automated restaurants
• Software that produces endless new music
But these require significant time and capital investments, and they would all get destroyed or seized. Except maybe that last one. -
Cystal2093yI would create a mmo rpg vr game, better than real life, something like if ready player one and sword art online had a baby.

@atrabilious this isn't too difficult to start on given expertise. It's just that production NLP systems also do a lot of manual expert tuning. If anything getting the data is the hard part.
Sounds like something that would be great to crowdsource. You would actually get a pretty large response if you made a game out of it or something.
I just looked up this paper on context aware translation, looks like having the right data is key: https://arxiv.org/abs/2105.06977
Another one here used heuristics to label Korean honorifics in the data: https://mdpi.com/2079-9292/10/...
@Root I would legit back a vertical farms startup (or small scale urban farming solutions startup in general). Always wanted to do it, don't really have a convenient readymade solution. Currently my setup is very manual (i.e. pots of herbs and stuff). -
@johnmelodyme to do that, there's a way that doesn't have to cost anything directly. The aftermath has costs, and those are not small.
What would you create if money isn't an issue?
