The texts appear a gazillion times better on the external monitor when I am running windows 10 on Bootcamp compared with when I am running MacOS.
Monitor settings (like resolution and size and connection) exactly same in both cases. 🤷🏻

I don't remember the details, but there was something fundamentally different in how macOS and Windows handle fonts and font smoothing.

@kamen yes I found that online as well. Didn't help much.

@nanobot it's a joke, people here in every rant about windows, even when it's not windows fault, they say: windows sucks, switch to linux/mac

    Still couldn’t figure this out.
Bought a new 4K monitor that works perfectly via Thunderbolt 3.
The older 1080p monitor still sucks with MacOS and works perfectly when running windows via boot camp on the same mac.

Still couldn’t figure this crap out.

Changed every possible configuration that might affect it.
Apparently, there are a few “supported scaled resolutions” that come with each MacBook. Anything other than that will give you blurry screen.

Strange all apple experts that comments on every single rant on windows telling how perfect is Mac os, and you can easily solve any issue didn't comment to help

Does your monitor have a funky subpixel layout?
