Took a half day for a dental appointment and got a root canal done. Still not as painful as the meeting this afternoon. SOAP vs REST discussion which developed into JSON vs XML. I am getting NOTHING done.

Rest if you've got obvious resources and simple CRUD interactions. SOAP if you've got a back end that needs to process commands. I don't see where the debate is?

The debate is when a team "lead" wants to figuratively use a screwdriver to hammer in a nail. Same guy that spends his day in M$ project and stores data in what he calls a database. The rest of us call it Excel. Cringing yet?
