When I hear something like "well, I didn't think it would be that hard so I gave it a shot and now I just need a bit of help..." I know I'm usually waking into a disaster. This would take me half the time if you didn't try it on your own. What a mess!

Tbh, I'd far sooner someone *tried* at least and screwed it up royally than just called me over to do it for them. At least there's something I can then look at, explain why it didn't work, show them a better way, and they'll likely be receptive for next time.

The most frustrating devs are those who just refuse to do anything because they're not sure and they're afraid of breaking something.

The fun joy starts with: I've been thinking and theoretically ...

Prototyping. Please validate whatever your brain has been cooking so we don't have to violate the magic 8 ball to understand wtf you're trying to accomplish. :)

Hats off to them for trying and asking for help, better than those that wait until the sprints ending
