That website mentioned above is great, but I have another suggestion.

Say you are interested in space and flight (I am), these topics have vast documentation on the physics and maths of the subject. Try converting these functions to runnable programs.

Obviously this only works if you are interested in a related subject, cars, chemistry, physics etc.

This can help teach you how to use algorithms in real applications, and it's cool if you like the programs you make!
