Why is it so hard to get a Game Dev internship, such a lack of support from Uni

Can't you approach a Company that makes games and try to have an internship there? If the problem is with Uni I'm pretty sure that there can be a agreement between the uni and the company 😉 at least in my uni it's like that xp

Yea i have reached out a lot, waiting on jagex to reply and i got to the final 4 for a place at Rare, sadly i didn't get the place

@gamedev too bad 😢 I'm actually going to start my internship next moment on mobile and web app development company. It's a small company but from what I've seen and heard, they will grow real nice

I've had a similar issue starting out. I live in a place where there aren't many actual game publishers or companies for that matter.

@gamedev in the same boat here, but in general with all software development jobs, which btw not what I wanna do.

Too many companies near me what seniors and such :/

Applied for jobs overseas and got no word back at all..
