Some people just cannot find info for them self.
Others cannot focus unless the setting is right (like a lecture)
Some might not be interested but they need to know so their job pays for it.
And finally some get it as a reward for something, in this case some also just see it as a way to not having to work for a couple of hours.
I mean the beauty in our industry is that you can learn almost everything online and for free. You learn some basics and then you build upon that knowledge to build something more complex. So why the hell should I pay so much money just to listen to someone who tells you the same stuff that you would've read online and for free anyway?
