atheist99293yThis is free, jira for something comparable (but worse) would have cost $30 per month, which is stupid.
-
atheist99293y@darksideofyay literally using it as a jira substitute, no idea what it's like for deployment stuff.

i kinda wanted to blow amazon up when i was using it, everything is shit and I can't find stuff where i think they might be
plus it's expensive -
atheist99293y@darksideofyay so, (I worked at amazon, worth mentioning, my opinion is my own etc), I never bothered with the ui coz it's a bit crap. CDK is OK tho.
-
@atheist yeah but it was also a nightmare to find instructions on how to use anything... for a while i was trying to configure stuff myself, and i only managed anything when an acquaintance saw it and helped me

jaylord4543y@atheist I actually really like Azure devops' CI and CD features, (we use jira for everything else lol)
I love the "legacy/old" steps in build pipelines (though I detest the Yaml they are trying to push, but the steps are still available if you want to use them). Also plenty of plugins available, free of charge
And the cd experience ("release deployment") has wonderful push based UI.
Try it! My new job uses Jenkins, which I used in the stone age and hope has grown in the same direction, but I'm afraid it's still wank -
jaylord4543yAlso even though it's named Azure Devops, local deployment of it is available, we did that.
I've started using azure devops as a project management thing for personal stuff.
This means
1) I've got enough stuff I'm trying to keep track of to warrant an issue tracking system for personal purposes
2) and have worked out that, of all the shit project management options out there, azure is the least shit for my uses.
