So I'm sitting down coding at home, trying to work out some problems when I hear the Doorbell ring. Obviously I shouldn't ignore it so I go to answer it.
Its the fucking FedEx delivery guy, he ALWAYS rings the doorbell, waits a solid 2 seconds after ringing then leaves. By the time I am about to answer the door he is already walking away.
HE ALWAYS FUCKING DOES THIS, in the end I'm thrown off my rhythm for nothing to go answer a door where the person ringing doesn't even have the decency to wait a few extra seconds to see if anyone comes.
This has happened to me several times now, he rings the door for no damn reason, i come running over and he is already gone.
So bloody frustrating.

Yeah that happens alot to me also. that's why I signed up for that estimated delivery time bull crap, so I know what time the jackass is coming and I'm on the front porch about halfway done with a cigarette when my package comes

@jckimble Problem is, (I still live at home), it's packages for my mom... She runs a company from home and gets a shit ton of packages every day. It's not just once a week when a package arrives, it's often 1-3 times a day from various carriers. Typically it's only the FedEx guy the rings and dashes, other times they ring and wait... So on days I have to answer the door multiple times :l

@nicnaknic ah gotcha, well it would still be an option but it would probably hurt your flow just as much. another option is getting your mom to leave a note on the tracking page (or do it yourself) to leave it by the front door where if even if he dashes the package would be by the door where you won't be bugged later

This kind of shit is the reason I refuse to answer the door till the second ring.

@jckimble Already ahead of you, My mom has the garage door code on the shipping notes so they can drop off inside, it's just that 2 of the delivery companies don't fucking read them and end up leaving all the packages In front of the garage... Which is not at all ok. They even leave them there on rainy or snowy days, don't give a shit if the product is damaged.
She's complained so many times to the shipping companies and they don't do anything about it. Pretty brutal situation.

@nicnaknic I think that might be against policy, kinda like asking them to use the key under the mat to put a package inside the door. saying to drop by the front door isn't the same as saying use this key to open this door

@nicnaknic doesn't hurt to try if you know you're going to be home

@jckimble it's fine to ask them to drop off inside, all other companies do it. Idk tho it's a fucked situation
