For the first time I work for an old and absolutely massive company. I have never seen systems so byzantine and so outdated ever before. With how the project management on top of it all has been going so far I'm really impressed that anything gets done at all.

Just as an a-side, I have witnessed systems that have been running with software written in the 1960s. Its creators long since dead and nobody alive or dumb enough to touch it for over two decades.
