Why are CSS animations so funny? I always have the best laughts when some page or element spin uncontrollably for no reason

    I enjoy a nice subtle animation, but some places take it too far. Almost as bad as background videos that play by default.

    But what about some nice marquee or blink tags sprinkled over the site?

    It's possibly due to us only using discrete states so sometimes they go on for longer than intended.

    Rarely do you see anyone use other states than loading vs not loading.

    Ideally you'd have a third state: slow- load. Where you reduce the speed after 2 seconds.

    The "modern" web is built upon the same tech that was invented decades ago to power those famous websites from the 90s!

    I once made the spinner change rotation direction after the server started sending the result.

    Users loved it without knowing why it changed direction. And they started noting that their browser tabs do the same...
