Today's butt hurt sponsor is... Cordova!

Whoever came up with wrapping web apps in a slow and outdated browser and calling them "Mobile Apps" are absolute lunatics, dangerous for the IT society.

These people should have immediately returned to the asylum they had escaped from, as soon as the idea visited their heads.

Honestly, I have yet to see an Apache product that isn't second or third in terms of usability in its own field and only manages to remain popular because it was the first and because it's flexible enough to support modern features with mountains of config and heavy tradeoffs.

@dontbeevil yeah i'd also like to know how OP proposes to create apps. in assembly?

@lbfalvy i dont know about that.
ive seen plenty of spark, kafka, airflow, superset, lucene and more in production environments. Apache has more than 2K open source projects.
I guess it really depends on the repository and the maintainers.

    Interesting!

    It's a money problem.

One code base can be deployed on all platforms this way, saving mountains of money. And if done right can be very usable (but has an extremely high learning curve on building performant SPA's).

If done wrong you end up eventually paying for 3+ apps anyways.

    People still use Cordova?

@johnmelodyme It's the legacy we still have to bear with... until our company realizes that rewriting the app natively costs less than treating their employees' mental illnesses and replacing keyboards snapped in half in agony.
