Can anyone recommend a good vps/dedicated server hoster for east us? I looking for a machine with 8 cores, 32gb memory and 2x 1,9tb nvme ssds. AWS, Azure and Google are way too expencive. In Germany we use the ax61-nvme instance of hetzner which costs around 100$.

Did you try linode or digital ocean? I'm not familiar with pricing, but they might be with a try

Just found OHVcloud. They have affordable servers. Any one has experiences with OHV?

$100 per month? I don't believe it. If you built that server yourself it'd take at least a year to break even at that price.

@spongessuck Any (new) Dell server _starts_ at 1000€ and only has a dual core, 8 GB RAM and a single hard drive at this price. Just the SSDs (assuming enterprise quality) will cost nearly the same again.
Hetzner already uses consumer parts (but nowadays proper SSDs), assume it reduces the whole costs by 50%, so again 1000€.bAdd electricity plus margin and 100€/month is not that bad anymore (in the price is 128 GB memory included, not only 32 GB).
