My last raspberry pi just died, now I gotta pay a super inflated price for a new one in a month because they’re sold out everywhere

How old was it and how old would you consider?

Mine are working, but I wanted to replace one of my RpiB3+ with Rpi4 but I aint waiting a month for a computer.. I wont even remember the project I want to start with it by then!!

How much is it? Even when super inflated it is still a very cheap device?!

Had a 3b+ and a 4. The rpi3 still works to this day even though it's way older. But the rpi4 now has a broken sd card slot even though it was in one of those sturdy cases.

I still can use it somehow with boot from usb, but nothing works as supposed to

@jeeper the board has 2017 printed on it but I bought it in 2019. I beat the shit out of it for 1.5 years so I’m not super disappointed that it died

@jonas-w mine partially boots but then shuts down and restarts. I didn’t know they could boot from usb so I’m going to try that tonight

@DeepHotel A friend of mine built a rack of Pi's just because he wanted to experiment with clusters or whatever it was.

The guy is sitting on a small fortune :P
