@bkwilliams sort of, yes, but it looks more like a random sequence number. The DBA team created the log directory, but not the cron job.
Found out today that someone has a cron job running doing a daily DB export since June 1 of 2015. The dumps average 2GB. I am amazed that storage engineering hasn't complained. Here's the kicker. It's a Dev database. WTF!? Dev? I freed up a terabyte of space today. Now I need to find out who owns that cron job.
