Going back and rewatching Star Wars stuff only to remember and get pissed off once again about the Sequel Trilogy. I can’t believe some people are allowed to make movies, watching a dog poop has more value than the entire story of those three movies, and Disney can go fuck themselves for that.

The original Star Wars trilogy was already annoyingly trivial, but probably OK for kids - it only shines somewhat because the new shit is even worse, and by a lot.

I've disliked movies as a whole as a medium for a while now. TV in general, really. I went to watch Dr Strange recently just to go with someone and it reminded me why I stopped watching movies like a decade ago. Have not watched the new star wars movies but I assume they're just as awful. I'll stay with my music, books, and videogames.

Star Wars is space fantasy and supposed to be goofy as fuck. If you take that into consideration, the old and new episodes - and the clone wars too - are a pretty easy and enteratining watch.

@Oktokolo yeah but the new ones also disregard the entire plot structure and lore of the previous movies and shows. It’s supposed to be goofy but that’s only one part of the long running story that is Star Wars lore. Not only do they break apart everything related to previous movies, but they also suck with telling the story they wrote. They didn’t give Lucas any say at all, and most seem to think he hates the new sequels.

I also don’t get why people who are not fans of Star Wars try to convince me otherwise of this.

@Oktokolo i think the same way. And I am a big fan of Star Wars since I was a child.

Yeah there are some changes to what the character lore was, but in terms of it entertaining me? it did.

My coworkers think differently, them movies make them go on a nerd rage x 9000

@phat-lasagna I as a fan also don't get why non-fans would try that...

But while the plot did get worse, it never was that solid to beginn with. Star Wars still has all the action and drama it needs. Obviously, production quality tanked a bit as Disney the Hut chewed on it. But it's a robust franchise and can take some beating.

Look at what they did to Star Trek...

There is plenty to love in star wars but i do agree that there where too many fuck ups in both the last trilogy as Obi one Kenobi.
If the sequel trilogy the second one was the best.

@phat-lasagna Nope. But as it is supposed to be animated comedy, i probably should watch it. Just became really hard to find time for watching actual movies since i got fibre Internet access and with it a really low ping in online games...

@hjk101 I disagree, The Last Jedi was the only time after a theater experience where I felt an uncontrollable sense of anger. The dark side almost overtook my existence as I felt the urge to strangle someone.
