@zmzmuazzam98 i3gaps take some window space so, I disabled i3bar. The problem is I want to know what window + workspace I currently have. Even if you have a muscle memory and rules to decide where application to place in workspace, you may get lost and forget where you place stuff and what window you left opening. so, I use rofi to list all window for me which automaticly tell where current workspace which window place. rofi can switch to window too (but sometime it doesnt switch for me). rofi is flexible to customize but apart from that -> dmenu will serve you just fine :)
