I could write 20 pages ranting but it can be summarized in a few words that describe the situation pretty well:

My 'CTO' doesn't understand basic OO principles (say, inheritance) nor functional programming.

    @DangleWaggle ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ surprisingly enough, he was he first "hire" of the company because both founders didn't have any clue of tech, now we got founded yada yada yada and have to deal with really shitty decision making coming from a 40 y.o with an electrical engineer background and no idea of software development nor architect. He basically hire freelancers every time a new "project" pops up and he wants to be still relevant, letting the overheads of dealing with the freelancers to the developers. This is worth a book.
