Didn't use it once, but it's usually said that Webflow is more declarative and great for web design prototyping than Figma, Lunacy and Adobe XD. I'm all hands for declarativeness, so I wanted to know the particular points that get you away from this software.

@vintprox That's the problem. It's for prototyping. Not maintaining a real site. Peole use webflow as a real site constructor.

    Not prototyping at all.

I usually create stuff based on Figma and you can see the code and resources.

But on Webflow it's all sh*t bundled together in components. Everything is linked for some fucking reason. Code and options are limited on the UI. AND there are no 3rd party tools you can add behind their Editor. You are stuck with what they offer you.

Because it was build for designers to create websites.

My advice. Just use figma and stay away from Webflow.

@nachocode ah, your overview checks out. https://designernews.co/stories/...

I'd definitely stay away from this rabbit hole as I was doing before, because I don't like tools that don't account for concerns coming from target domain, and that are doubling down on pleasing some other bubble of users.

@vintprox wise choice. This app does not allow you to edit multiple pages at once as well.

It does feel like a designer tool but as touching the site I quickly realized that designer never bother themselves in following the rules of clean code and structure.

So you get a fancy designer editor with fancy tooling and no standard structure being followed.
