One easy way to watch YouTube without ads on a smartphone is Firefox + Ad.blocker

HoWeVeR... Page loading time on YouTube went up to 1 minute for me lately, all out of a sudden. Nothing changed on my device. I have auto-updates disabled

A coincidence? 🤔 Or Google looking to make life hard for me. YouTube was already caught making loading slow on FireFox deliberately, so they deserve 0️⃣ trust

    Another way, if they start doing too many ads in a video, is to just rip it with yt_dlp. I have done this with lets play videos for games. I hate trying to skip around the video to skip and it does an ad. Makes it hard to find stuff.

    I only use newpipe + sponsorblock, invidious, piped etc.

    But everytime I open a normal youtube video on youtube.com it feels very slow, but i can't really compare as i don't really use the official website

    @jonas-w does any of this support commenting? I have an urge to communicate with every video creator, but faster loading times would be dope 🤣

    @vintprox nope. If you have android you could try the old youtube vanced (which wasn't updated since a while, because of google forcing them to stop)

    Or build your own ReVanced Youtube app (https://github.com/revanced/...), haven't tried revanced as I still use the old Youtube vanced app which i already have installed.
