I'm an advocate of free software, debian specifically, hell my business runs on it!
But sometimes you just can't get around to use proprietry software. One of those is nvidia....

WHAT THE FUCKING MESSED UP NAGGING NARK SHIT NVIDIA!!! YOU FUCKING BREAK MY SYSTEM! YOU WONT PROPERLY COMPILE YOUR KERNEL MODULE, YOU BREAK MY X, AND ONCE I FIXED ALL THOSE THINGS MANUALLY(!) YOU HAVE THE FUCKING GUTS TO NOT EVEN DETECT MY SCREENS PROPERLY

WHAT THE FUCKING SHIT!!! NVIDIA YOU SUCK!!! MOTHERFUCKER DO I REALLY HAVE TO FALL BACK TO INTEL GRAPHICS??? FUCK YOUR FUCKING COMPANY AND ESPECIALLY YOUR LINUX SUPPORT

And no i am not planning to use ATI since they dont support EGL, what is a dependency for the gnome desktop...

The infamous nvidia drivers. Whenever I run apt-get update, I always secretly hope I don't see nvidia in the list. The error codes in dmesg are not particularly well documented either. Hassle all round to get everything working. Which card do you use?

@ymas GTX960, honestly this is the very first time i encountet such a terrible issue with it. I've beennusing debian with nvidia for 8 years now, no issue whatsoever, even from backports. But it all started to go fubar with kernel version 4.9.0-bpo3 ... Now it won't even detect my screens properly....

Uurgh... I'm about to lose a third screen....

    Followup:

Either my GPU card has decided to kill my DisplayPort (Dee-Pee'd it brutally) Or the driver simply went full R-tard and cannot handle them anymore...

Honestly i cannot believe the GPU just killed a specific port, is there anyone that knows how to actually test a GPU card regarding the HARDware?
