To know why those irritatingly pedantic moderators on stackoverflow downvoted my question!

Mostly only the stupid kids, with no significant help provided to the website, bash and run (my experience). It's like giving a dog a gun - the first what it does is biting, then thinking (if at all).

Mods are actually really helpful, especially on meta sites.
