@iSwimInTheC classic startup issue, no money meant they would bleed the workers dry and they didn't have the resources to arrange HR and a proper work environment. by the time they got HR, the company's culture had already settled and it was toxic af. we begged for ergonomics but they barely had the money for the salaries, which were shit btw.
i worked at this startup that had these very low wages, hustle culture, bad work environment (bad or no computers for staff, no ergonomics, cramped), and they delayed payments a lot. my boss was mad at me cause i said i didn't see myself there in the future lol. i didn't last 4 months, and i saw colleagues leave within a month. i was so burned out i thought i didn't want to be a dev anymore
