On Windows I vouch for Rufus.
On any *nix-like, mostly dd does the trick.
However for uefi you may want to manually format the disk as fat32 with bootable flag on and cp the files onto it..
As long as boot/boot{variant?}.efi is present you should be good to go.
I'm not sure whether gpt disk format is required, but I doubt it. -

Currently running Kubuntu and want to switch to Antegros.
Installed UNetBootin.
Downloaded Antegros Live ISO from Antegros website.
Format USB to FAT32.
Used UNetBootin to make Antegros bootable USB.
Shutdown computer.
Restarted/boot from USB.
Computer checks drives.
Beeps, says no bootable options found, shutdown button pops up.
Shutdown and turn back on.
Kubuntu running.
Really fucking frustrating. Please help.
