getting over studyong databases so returned to my roots of repairing power tools for a break did anyone else come from a very diffrent career route before starting software engineering

    Not a career per-se, but I wanted to be an optometrist. No schools for that in the area I wanted to be, so I went with Computer Engineering

    I'm studying MBIS and there are a lot from international business and accounting, some of friends struggle a lot

    I was a bartender for a while whilst studying don't really know if that counts

    yea its interesting to see where people came from i sold high end power tools and also did repairs and maitinence and only ended up doing computer science by a fluke lol

    Testing and repairing electronics, mainly expensive audio equipment, with a dash of RF thrown in to keep me on my toes. Loved that job, but you know, life happens!
