Stupid fucking idiot startup asshole hired me as an intern. Promised me the money after the work is done. We were friendly during the internship. The work is done and now it's been a week and still no money yet. He's saying it'll take some time. To beat you to shit it'll take some time you asshole!

Lesson learned: Never ever be friendly with the guy who hires you. Like never!!

Also money later isn't a good thing.

    I've been through this. The guy was genuine though so I couldn't really get mad, he just didn't have the financing to get it moving.

    @mrtnrdl ^ yes, this too.

    After my first experience like this, I always used boilerplate contracts to make sure.

    Get a contract or get screwed.
  • 1
    @alecjd what do you mean by boilerplate contract?
  • 2
    @appmaker like a template. Mainly for the legal shit

    @appmaker
    Boilerplate refers to the most basic code (etc.) that's required to make something work.

    e.g. in C:
    int main() { }

    Or the `app.module` declaration for Angular apps.

    Apply this to contracts and you'll get his meaning!

    @Ashkin oh yea I knew what boilerplate in the dev world meant but did not know what it meant when referencing to legal stuff. Thanks though :)

    Lessons learned. You will laugh at people who ask for this type of thing one day.
    Hell hopefully you at least get a handy out of it.
