When the new intern keeps asking too many questions to try to be too enthusiastic

Intern here! Be patient, tell him it is ok to struggle, and that you can't devote all of your time to him.

This one is definitely a balance. It's good to be enthusiastic and to show an interest in learning and how things are done, however at the same time it is also good to demonstrate initiative and to be a self starter that can utilise the resources that are available to overcome hurdles on their own and get the job done.

My feeling here is that if they are annoying enough to warrant a rant, they possibly don't quite have this balance right.
