I will have to present some algorithms at our school festival next week.
Any idea for a good real world example to demonstrate how breadth first search works?

Facebook friends.

Just open a random Facebook page from one of the audience members (voluntarily of course) and click through his friends, friend's friend, friends... Etc to show depth first.

Then go back to his page and show breadth first. Click every one of his friends

As for privacy reasons... I mean, should've closed your Facebook page if you don't want unwanted visitors 🤷🏻
