Let me just get right down to it.
FUCK YOU Hewlett-fucking-Packard FOR YOUR SHITTY LAPTOPS! Don't you even keep your customer's needs in mind when you design these things? Besides all the bloatware you stuff into the Windows you ship it with, at least make the quality of your shit better. These flimsy screens and loose hinges, I've had to get that shit replaced multiple times in just the past year.
Want to upgrade to an SSD or plug in more RAM? Guess what! I've to tear the whole thing apart! Keyboard, palm rest, all if it! What even happened to just popping a cover at the bottom to swap out the hard drive!? I have to fucking congratulate you, you fucking cunts, for making an easy process as difficult as it can fuckin possibly get. You guys deserve an award for this, preferably presented to you, shoved up your asses.

I really hate yb (look at thier symbol again) laptops. But I blame Apple for the problem of upgrading laptops.
The next version of ultrabooks will not have a removable battery anymore.

I had the same problem with a new HP laptop, the hinge started cracking on one side so we used a few layers of super glue and it lasted until we could replace it. I too had to install an SSD and more RAM and oh my ... Took the best part of a day as I had to list all the screws in order to make sure I didn't miss anything upon reassembly.

Not even mentioning how shitty their drivers are and how hard it is to find manual downloads if you had to reinstall Windows. Sold my last hp laptop years ago.

The old Elitebooks are actually fine.

I have one workstation model and you dont even need to loosen a screw to upgrade the ram. Atleast if you are Happy with the 2 slots on the Back. The ones under the Keyboard are a real pain.

Harddrive Swap also relativly easy and no way to fuck up. All aluminum and no problem at all ever with the Screen hinches.

But i also tested the new ones and their absurdly bad manufactured compared to the elitebooks.

Of your Happy with 3rd to 4th Gen i7 or i5 the elitebooks are great. Everything newer i would not buy HP

I've got an HP Envy x360. I'm pretty disappointed. I bought it for just over $1k. And it's made out of cheap plastic. The glass has already cracked. I need a new laptop, but I don't have the money, and it still works. I always thought HP was supposed to be reliable. I guess not...

I have a HP pavilion PC... Works great... Never had any problems. My only complaint is that the only way to plug in a monitor is HDMI... Which makes it not too good for gaming as HDMI is capped at 60hertz.

I thought HP stood for Hacker Pro... *throws out all HP products*

I've been avoiding HP for years, but I do have one of their printers because i was in the need to print something and it was the cheapest one.

I'm using a ProBook 640 G4. I'm not sure which driver is responsible for docking station display ports, but it's an utter piece of shit. Putting the laptop in the docking station is like spinning the wheel of fortune. Sometimes it doesn't wake up the monitors and the laptop's display also won't turn on, even after I take it off the DS. So basically, I have to shut the whole thing down by holding a power button and then turn it on again.

This shit can also happen when I cut off the power to the external monitors only and then turn them on again. Even a slight power fluctuation to the Dock can cause every peripheral to be disconnected and reconnected again and then the monitors won't light up, along with the laptop's LCD panel. So I have to forcefully shut it down and kill all my unsaved work.

FUCK this piece of shit company, I will never again make the mistake of buying anything from them OR Compaq.
