kosio-t23917yI totally understand your pain.
Fuck Apple, hackintosh your windows pc and build your apps. -
kosio-t23917y@garciabm That was my first solution but windows - not very optimized os + vm with macOS meant slow build times and almost unusable or hardly usable macOS and lot of battery drain.
Go to the Apple store or install natively especially if you paid the 100$ or your client or boss want iOS apps from you. -
xwing71297yi went with the vm and it runs oke. only graphical bet slowish i need to check if passthrough is a thing for mac os sierra.
now android is bitching on the mac os. installed android studio sdk found ndk nowhere to find. -
RegexFun1227y@xwing7 Why don't you use the virtual mac only for simulation? You can have your solution in windows with VS17 and simulate in the mac via Xamarin Mac Agent
-
xwing71297y@garciabm i tried by the mac agent didn't recognized the vm. but that would be great if you know how.
-
kosio-t23917y@xwing7 I tried at first but gave up because to work you must have very complicated vm and host settings or two network cards.
-
RegexFun1227y@xwing7 I had problems at the beginning too. Ironically the only simulator I couldn't run was Windows phone, I run the windows app locally. I'll be glad helping you. What problem do you have with the Mac?
-
RegexFun1227y2. I had to install VS in Mac because I had exceptions in VS17 about Xamarin.Ios not being installed in the Mac
-
RegexFun1227yIn sharing-> remote login you have to enable remote login. And add the actual user to the list. In the Remote Login:On it will appear the message. To log in thia computer remotely, type... Write down the ip that appears. Then in the Xamarin Mac Agent it won't appear any Mac, so click Add Mac and type the ip you wrote down

xwing71297y@garciabm thank you. the network to bridged did the trick the rest was al ready set. :)
-
RegexFun1227y@xwing7 Yeah, with other network adapter configurations had a lot of problems. Sadly right now I have a problem and can't connect to internet on the virtual machine :( something happened in the last blue screen I had in my computer.
started to try out xamarin. a ideal way to write it once and use it in 3 apps. on windows all was fine. android sdk adn ndk installed everything ok. starts to looked at ios hmm, you need mac to build project, simulate. oh wait even the UI designer you need mac pc.
WTF is going on here, are you serious apple. come to think of it, now i get how apple sales numbers are high. when developers and companies need to by apple pc in order to make a fucking app for them. but that's not all you need to pay 100euro a year to publish the app.
