The best way to get an interview call is through referrals.

Recruiters are lazy. They don't want to sift through resumes coming from sites like LinkedIn. Referrals are usually better quality.

I'm not saying this. My recruiter friend is.

This was one of the reasons I jumped onto the bootcamp I'm now on. They have a careers team that does nothing but build contacts within organisations around London and use them to find us work. Only about 10% of applicants make it onto the course, so their referrals tend to carry a lot of weight.
