Fucking IEEE pdf eXpress breaks this fucking paper.

The paper has been accepted, and we just need to upload a fucking camera-ready. But what was supposed to be a breeze, is now a nightmare with us spending the entirety of last night and evening trying to figure out why the fuck the latex gutter is keep throwing the same fucking error despite that we've used their own fuckin template, and don't have anything but text and images.

Fuck IEEE for making shit harder. Fuck their stupid submission system. 😭😭😭😭😭😭

I don't want to go back to work today. I literally had a 15 hours day yesterday. 😭😭😭😭

    @NoMad oooh, it's a trap. if u finish it fast, they'll set even tighter dead limes for next shit...

    but we got to do what we have to do...

    Every fucking time something breaks shortly before deadline ends ...

    The problem is solved. The main team is exhausted. 😑🤌

    @NoMad The time has come to get some sleep
  • 3
    @NoMad or since all good, take the team to a vacation for reward... after a good sleep ofc

    @We3D I am taking me on a vacay next week. 😜 Others also have scheduled for vacay afaik.

    I love latex and related tech but it always stabs me in the back when it matters most

    @NoMad hey how was the vacation? worth the extra sweat before it?
  • 1
    @We3D the vacation was worth it, the sweat wasn't. 😛 I lost braincells from the stress.

    @NoMad after the mild burnout I give a lot less fuck for their shit... I mean they can be mad and whatever, It just does not impress me that much... it will be done, when I test everything... and if they want it in a hurry I let them figure the bugs themselves ;}

    @We3D good approach. The difference here is, whatever I do as a researcher is a reflection of me. My name and my reputation are at stake.
    And I've never been one for keeping a "reputation" so I'm rather bad at keeping up with expectations. (if anything, my reputation is rather bad when it comes to group work)

    @NoMad I see no difference here, my so-called reputation is not big either. we just do whatever we can, that's all =]

    @NoMad also I think the reputation is overrated anyway...

    If not many lives depend on your decisions and/or not really a public figure one should not think too much about his reputation, I mean not that all million firms communicate between each other and will say smth like : he/she is good of XYZ but lacks some ABC, and b/c his bad reputation here you should not hire that person... ;}

    @NoMad ok, I'm sure some of them do use such strategies... it's just I'm not with that rep++ so I should start thinking how to not lose it. and this is not a RFC, just saying ;)
