I'm a Salesforce administrator. This user asked for a report. No big deal right? Wrong! The report they want isn't possible unless I created a new report type and modify relationships. When told this their response is " unfortunately I have to have this report by EOB"
........ Lol that's nice, here's the closest thing I can give you right now. Deal with it until I have a minute to just casually flip the whole system on it's head for your one off report

We need this by COB is a good "fuck it don't bother" phrase to me.

If some fuckwit doesn't think far enough ahead to deal with a request, they deserve their arses beat.

Hey as some one who uses salesforce could you give me your opinion on using salesforce for an ecommerce website. Our company out sourced our ecommerce project and the company insisted they use salesforce. Im a web developer and I think a simple ecommerce website and backend would have been a better option here. What do you think?

@GigabyteDX depends on company's size and overall goals.

You're right, a simple ecom back-end will usually suffice. But there's benefits to making sales force responsible when there's a problem, and expansion into other products is usually quite good. If company wants to set their marketing team up with new analysis tools you're not having to write integration yourself for a simple ecom system that didn't have that in mind.

@GigabyteDX My day job is QA for a company that does Salesforce Commerce Cloud (aka Demandware) implementations. There are definitely sites it's overkill for, but it's rock solid architecture (in 6 years I think I've seen two outages that were actually their fault). If you have enough volume to justify paying their prices, it's a good solution.
