I am a self-teaching front end engineer currently seeking for a role where I can gain actual work experience. I am a hard worker and a fast learner.

I don't mind not getting paid, I would only require a data/internet subscription so as I can continue to upskill.

If you don't need payment, make a open source project. If you work for someone else, make sure they pay you.

Well then, go find a job. Should be plenty around.

@100110111 In a third world world where opportunities are hard to come-by and where internet costs a month's wage.

For every minute you invest Making money for someone you must get paid.
You can sattle for less on entry.
But not for nothing.
As far as experience goes you can do small achivable project on fiverr or other platform that can get you some money and items for a nice portfolio.
Remember: salary is trading time for money.
And time is most valuble as you won't get it back. Trade it wisly.

@dror thank you for the advice, I have been looking at freelancing and I have setup my account on Upwork, hopefully I get some gigs.
