Electron is aweaome, nothing wrong with HTML in a desktop app. Youd be surprised how much stuff runs on web technologies. Take Atom, VS Code or Slack, built on Electron.
@sylflo Can't agree more. What can be done with a web app should be done with a web app. And if you want a shortcut on the desktop just wrap it in an electron app and boom! desktop replica of your web app -
@sylflo No free time yet to work on hobby projects though I once made a media player with Qt for a semester project. I'd pick it up again but insert aforementioned excuse.

So we're making a desktop app using Electron and I got super excited when I ran the quick start thinking, "Wow, I'm actually going to develop a desktop app!"
But then the reality hit me that I'm still technically working with HTML and all and that I should be ashamed of calling myself a dev over this so how I'm cry-studying it's documentation while testing different stuff.
