Been using a MBP the last 5 years. I would like to move to pure Linux laptop. Any recommendations on laptop brand?

Back in the day it was always such a PITA getting Linux to run on a laptop due to non existent drivers for sound and wifi. Has any laptop manufacturer filled this gap yet?

I don't want to spend all my time getting the laptop to work, which is why I went with MBP. Reliability is my first requirement, followed closely by performance.

I've been enjoying my System76 Gazelle laptop, though I hear good things about the Dell XPS Developer editions.

If you're in the UK, I'd look at the Slimbooks.

Install Manjaro and use arch wiki:

Try it out on a VM first

I work on linux with no issues on at least 3 laptop brands (asus, lenovo, msi) and I bet I could pick any other and things will still work fine.

No longer do we live in a world where linux is an outcast in the laptop world :)
