    I remember a devranter created a click game (site with just a button) and had a donate suggestion on the site because aws costed money. Imagine doing this with a minimal vps - nearly free

    We already discussed this in another rant.

    It's not AWS's fault. They make it clear.

    If your application/game/whatever is so light, just fucking host it yourself.

    Dyndns is free, and that is really, the only barrier to self hosting.

    I mean, I've self hosted dozens of projects, and they don't even consume 5% of my bandwidth or CPU.

    Perhaps it's time to learn that the "cloud" is just someone else's computer.

    Don't pay by using your own.

    @CoreFusionX i want to use aws precisely because i have to learn it. But apparently to build a minimal app with aws still is gonna cost some money

    @b2plane

    You can learn basically all of AWS in your own computer.

    Study the documentation of the services. Install them locally, learn their uses and do practice commands with dry run option.

    Because that's what AWS is. Someone else's computer that you control through a console/CLI.
