@kp15 Linux has come a long way in 10 years though

@kp15 an operating system that doesn't spy on you

@kp15 doesn't mean you should keep letting that happen

@kp15 there are programming tools on linux that simply will not work on windows

    To me it is simple:
    Windows - Gaming
    Linux - Development

Except, you know, for video editing, music production, gfx, games..

This whole debate is always annoying, they both have pros and cons.

Linux is lightweight and perfect for open source, programming and development. It can run on virtually anything and is built with programming and open source in mind. There's a bit for everyone.

MacOS has some really nice software when it comes to video production. It owes a lot of it's performance advantage to the way apple is selling it, making it easy to optimize.

Windows is an all-rounder. If you can think it, you can do it. Tons of hard-/software at your disposal. It comes packed with all kinds of stuff to make sure it runs on as many hardware configurations as possible. Depending on said configuration it can either be fast or slow, but you shouldn't always straight out blame the system for that.

Windows have really good RAM and Battery optimization. My system get fucked after exit CSGO in Linux. Though it works much better on Linux boosting FPS 3-4 times
