Mac book pro 2012, 2nd hand. $1400. 16g, 1tb. 15inch. New one 2017, 16g, 15inch $3500. My question is 1. Is the 2012 model very hot? 2. Is 2017 hardware much much better? Worthy?

The big thing about used macbooks is the fact that their battery is probably half dead. Other than that, I they are awesome. + The 2017 ones are more overpriced than the previous ones (they raised the price by like a couple hundred USD if I remember correctly)

I heard you can replace hardware easier in the 2011 versions. Is that correct?

The new Mac will be available in December at the price of 2k USD. For other versions check the display and processor. I bet there is a difference between 2012 and 2017
