I've installed ubuntu 17.04 but same problem with precedent version, connection lost after a few minutes , i want to try other connection because with my modem linux always had trouble , btw i've searched for solutions and fine that an optional of driver is bugget and it have to be turned of , i've done ad they say with terminal commands and One instruction is "sudo vi /etc/PM/config.d/config then i should write on the config file but apparently doesn't exist and call that command make terminal empty with some message some time at the end.

@thephoenix Some wifi cards don’t play nice with Linux. So you’ll have to find a solution specific to your card maybe. Or the correct drivers for it.

If you upgraded to 17.04, it has something to do with the issue explained here: https://askubuntu.com/q/902992

The link will do a better job of explaining and troubleshooting, so I'll shut up now. Hope you get/got things sorted out
